Pre-Sail Inspection
The purpose of a Pre-Sail Inspection is to give one final check on the status and temperature of
loaded refrigerated containers immediately prior to a vessels departing port.
Numerous steps are performed to ensure a very thorough last once-over.

Inspection Summary
- Vessel personnel are informed of Pre-Sail commencement
- Vessel personnel are requested that they be present
- Look for abnormal operation prior to loading
- Confirm set-point temperature is inline with the Shipping Lines manifest
- Confirm air-vent setting is inline with the Shipping Lines manifest
- Record the supply and return air temperatures
- Ensure fan motors have correct rotation
- Inspect refrigerant charge
- Confirm defrost timer setting is correct
- Ensure compressor oil level is suitable
- With any found discrepancies, advise agent or vessels' personnel for clarification
- Discuss any final queries the vessel personnel may have
- Request a signature and vessel stamp from authorized personnel on the vessel
