Emergency Repairs

Every day of the year Feliba is available through its after hours call out service. Ensuring a prompt response is imperative to critical cargo care, with the majority of breakdowns being attended within 30 minutes of the initial call. Some points on emergency repairs follow.

Breakdown Procedure

Technicians are on a rotating roster where they are responsible for carrying out after hours emergency repairs in a timely fashion and to any specific clients' requirements
In all bar the simplest emergency repairs, a follow-up check is carried out within a reasonable timeframe after the initial repair.
Times when only a temporary repair can be carried out due to the location of the unit, the load status or other mitigating factors, procedures are followed to ensure permanent repairs will be carried out at the next Pre-Trip Inspection
During the Presail Inspection, any unit which required an emergency repair prior to being loaded on the vessel is given one final thorough check
